Jinan Iron ＆ Steel Group Corporation has acquired many honorary titles including Garden Corporation of Jinan City, Shandong Provincial Advanced Unit for Afforestation, National Advanced Unit for Afforestation, etc. In September 2002, the National Afforestation Meeting of Metallurgical Industry was held in Jinan Steel. Among all the scenic spots, Baoshan Park is beloved by all employees and their family members. Baoshan Hill is located near the residential area, to the south of the plant site. The name of the hill comes from the name of Bao Shuya who was a senior statesman of Qi Dynasty in Spring and War period(770B.C.～476B.C.). The hill becomes a lushed green hill from a treeless stone one through ten years of afforestation. It has changed into a comprehensive park for relaxation, entertainment and sight viewing.
